Come join the amazing Community Investment team and collaborate with Housing Vermont staff and external partners, sponsors, borrowers, lenders, and developers by analyzing investment opportunities for Housing Vermont’s Low Income Housing and New Markets Tax Credits (LIHTC and NMTC) programs. The skills for this position include 3 years of underwriting, financial or credit analysis, experience with balance sheets, income and cash flow statements and advanced Excel for financial modeling and the creation of complex excel workbooks. Experience writing credit write-ups and investment proposals of real estate transactions and a college degree are preferred.

This position is part of the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board AmeriCorps (VHCB AmeriCorps).
HV Connections is a Housing Vermont initiative with a goal of improving property performance and resident well-being within its communities by connecting outside organizations, resources and activities with the affordable housing development and measuring success of those connections through results based accountability. The HV Connections Coordinator will assist the HV Asset Management team along with local partners, management companies, residents, and other stakeholders to identify and coordinate proven low-income resident services and eviction prevention strategies. Additional tasks include, but are not limited to, collect and analyze property eviction data; plan, coordinate and attend resident events; attend required meetings and trainings. The position will require regular travel by your personal vehicle to housing developments around Vermont and may include some evening and weekend hours.
Position begins September 9th, 2019 and ends August 14th, 2020, is Full Time: serves approximately 40 hours per week, receives a living allowance of $20,400 (pre-tax), and an education award of $6,095 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service.
